No, this is not another eBay or ETSY. You’re not bidding on items for auction…and there is a single online shopping basket for all of the seller. Plus, you have to be accepted by the website to become a seller.
The website has the feel of an online store (not a mega online marketplace) and you can shopper category. Each designer has their own page and is responsible for their own delivery. However, the checkout process is carried out by the notonthehighstreet.com website checkout.
In my opinion, notonthehighstreet.com is a win-win for customer and designer as a truly safe, unique and original marketplace for British-based designers. Shoppers browse and buy a wide range of original products from the unique small business marketplace using a single online shopping basket. Almost forgot to mention that most of the designers ship worldwide at competitive rates!
Can any designer join the website? Not exactly, each small business is carefully chosen for its innovative, well-made products to inspire shoppers looking for style, originality, and quality, but who never seem to find it on the high street.
