For over 40 years Denmark's ECCO shoes offers a response to uncompromising footwear. The ECCO story began more than 40 years ago in the small southern Jutland town of Bredebro, Denmark, where Karl Toosbuy pioneered a revolution in footwear, choosing comfort over conformity. Karl, tired of having his feet mold to his shoes, charged that the foot should lead the shoe. ECCO shoes was born as a new type of footwear crafted both by hand and "by heart".
