Lyvea Designs’ children’s craft cloth, created by Darsi Edwards is a square craft table-cloth made of nylon, vinyl and cotton that is washable, reusable,
stylish, and comes complete with side-pockets.
The tablecloth, made of vintage-inspired fabrics and with a contrasting trim: think “I Love Lucy” meets “Leave it to
Beaver”—is stylish and sassy, but homey and sweet too. The fabric itself reminds Darsi of her grandmother’s house. Of
the hours she happily spent drawing at grandma’s kitchen table, feet dangling from a chair and the way that her grandmother
always had time to stop and admire one of her drawings. But, the craft cloth is more than just memory lane for Darsi, it’s a way to share the simple joys of drawing and coloring
with other families, and to help moms relax. It is also, by virtue of her marketing degree from Otterbein College, a very
marketable product, with infinite variations. Darsi has plans to develop other children’s products with grown-up advantages
that tap into the way people actually live.
