Wati founded her eponymous label in 2004 to create beautiful clothing and accessories for girls, of classic and comfortable design. With Indonesian parents and a childhood spent in Australia, Wati's design philosophy is informed by a taste for the different and exotic. Favorite fabrics are silk and cotton. Her clothes show a love of vibrant color, fun prints, and whimsical embellishment. An interest in textiles, traditional costume, fashion history and tailoring, has led Wati to create clothes with unexpected mixes of fabric and embroidery. At every turn, her clothes delight and inspire, reflecting an eclecticism inherent in Wati's approach to living and her own personal style.
