Playtime Paris January 2010 - Children's Fashion Trade Show Highlights
The 7th edition of Playtime Paris, dedicated to the Universe of Children, Junior and Future Mothers, took place on January 30th to February 1st 2010 at the Parc Floral
de Paris.
Marked by the theme of monsters and eerie characters, over 250 exhibitors participated in Playtime Paris, mainly from France, central Europe, and some as far as Peru, Canada, the USA, Australia and Hong Kong.

Prost, offers playful and delicate

Je suis en CP's designs are creative and innovative yet simple and practical. Well-cut shapes and fun graphic details are drawn from a mix of prints that brings out the best

cotton.
As for
the designs, special care is taken that small elements, such as ribbons or

Surface to Air first developed a kids line in 2009 as a special, limited edition project in collaboration with Gordon Hull. Much of the collection is hand-made or hand-finished in Wovenplay’s Manhattan studio with original textiles, prints and trims.
Fabrics are tinted in natural or low-impact dyes and garments are constructed with the highest standards by a local workforce or fair trade producers and packaging is recycled and/or biodegradable.

More than stimulating t-shirts,
yporqué was conceived in 2006 as a whole new concept: the first t-shirts which mentally stimulate children through the imaginative use of sounds, textures, fluorescent images in the dark, and more.
Over time, yporqué has moved on from being an up-market gift item to convert itself into a fully-fledged fashion label.
For the AW’10 collection, this Spanish brand from Barcelona bets one more time for its stimulating t-shirts, interactive complements for children and baby clothes.

Zazazou - France
Zazazou creates stylish, ethical and ecological accessories including backpacks, shoulder bags and diaper bags in organic cotton. Zazazou's Little Parisian collection pays tribute to the beauty of Paris and Parisians.
Designers Sandra and Amaia have decided to think of mothers and their children, particularly girls. For them, Zazazou offers a diaper bag, very practical, with changing pad included, a backpack and a shoulder bag. The dilemma is who will use these accessories - the teenage girl who is using the diaper bag to take her classes, computer, etc or mom?
As in the first collection, these items are made from organic cotton and environmentally friendly inks. |

Zolima designed by Nicole Andrianjaka de Survillea who is originally from France, is a new brand of children's clothing and accessories for ages 0-12.
Though retro-chic, Zolima carries a joyful freshness. Colors are a subtle blend of acid and warm tones, prints are delicate & modern, materials are made from natural fibers, details are of quality, and lines are simple & precise for little ones' comfort.
For Fall-winter 2010, colors are daring & elegantly mixed. Duck blue, Granny smith green, Parma pink, and Azure blue are blended with the well-established colors of anthracite, chocolate brown and plum. Exclusively developed prints match Italian stripy linen. Out of concern for the environment, jersey and woven fabrics are made in 100% organic cotton and bamboo fabrics have been introduced. Silk jacquards for the slim Chinese Qipao dresses are turned into delightful little quirky skirts for the festive season. |
