There’s been lots of media craze around the Royal Family Tour to New Zealand. One of my favorite stories so far had been Prince George’s Royal play date and the Prince George Sailboat Outfit. Little George couldn’t have been cuter playing with 10 other babies while proud William and Kate chatted away with other parents.
As a kids fashion lover I’ve been keeping my eyes on what designer baby clothes Prince George is wearing. So I was really excited to see him wearing one of my favorite UK brands Rachel Riley. I’m a huge fan and have had the pleasure of interviewing Rachel on her Spring Summer 2014 and Fall Winter 2014 collection at the ENK Children’s Club trade show in New York.

At his playdate, Prince George was spotted wearing this classic tailored Sailboat Smocked Navy Dungarees. You can shop the look on the Rachel Riley website for $129.
I love the sailboat smocking on the front of the outfit which gives it a vintage feel and makes it the perfect heritage piece that can be passed down from generation to generation.
By the way, this isn’t the first Rachel Riley outfit that has a royal twist. During our interview, last August Rachel shared with me her sold-out Heritage Collection designed in honor of the Royal Baby.
Last month when I was in New York I visited Rachel Riley’s flagship store on Madison Avenue. It was such a treat to see the complete collection in person. Some of my personal favorites are the mommy and me matching dresses in true Rachel Riley vintage style. I also love these exquisite party slippers hand-made in Rachel’s own workshop in France.
Awarded the best UK children’s fashion brand and retailer by Junior Design, Rachel Riley’s design philosophy is rooted in her traditional lifestyle and draws inspiration from the forties, fifties, and sixties with fine tailoring, beautiful hand smocking, hand embroidery and vintage-inspired prints designed by and exclusive to the brand.
You can find the Rachel Riley children’s collection at one of her flagship stores in London at 14 Pont Street and 82 Marylebone High Street and in New York on 1286 Madison Avenue. Or at other luxury department stores including Harrods, Barney’s, Childrensalon and more.
