The BFG’s Ruby Barnhill Lazy Francis at Cannes Film Festival

Spotted on the Red Carpet at the Cannes Film Festival was charming young actress Ruby Barnhill wearing a gorgeous green silk couture dress designed in London by Lazy Francis. Ruby played Sophie in Steven Spielberg’s latest fantasy adventure film The BFG, the $100 million Disney adaptation of the 1982 children’s novel by Roald Dahl.

Ruby looked stunning wearing a green silk dress by Lazy Francis, designed in London with a fitted sleeveless bodice, embellished with French lace and smocked velvet trim.

This gorgeous dress features a full pleated skirt, that’s longer at the back, with a hem decorated in little bells, which tinkle when the little fashionista moves. Underneath, the dress features 23 meters of layers of French lace petticoats peeking out that create volume.

“As any modern child, Ruby has been looking for a perfect dress online, including on one of the biggest online childrenswear boutiques childrensalon.com, which represents over 270 famous brands, including Lazy Francis. Burberry, Dior, Gucci, Fendi, Roberto Cavalli… and amongst so many wonderful choices, she fell in love with Lazy Francis silk couture dresses”, commented the brand’s creative designer, Olga Kruze.

London’s celebrity and movie stylist Faye Sawyer brought together a vast and magnificent selection of outfits to choose from. Among so many options, Ruby made a bold choice to wear this gorgeous green silk couture Lazy Francis that made her the center of attention. Within seconds her photos walking down the red carpet holding the hand of the world-famous director Steven Spielberg were all over social media.

Created in 2013, Luxury British brand Lazy Francis allows kids to create their own sense of individual style while keeping things fun with a festive choice of colors to choose from.

It will be fun to see if Ruby and The BFG will follow the same success as Drew Barrymore and E.T. did in 1982. Watch Ruby on the silver screen when The BFG hits theaters this July, the same year of author Roald Dahl’s centennial.
