My heart goes out to Italy, the pulse of world fashion has suffered immensely from the COVID-19 Virus. While I read about Dontallea Versace donating funds to support local efforts in Milan’s response to the pandemic, it seems unreal that six weeks ago on February 21st she launched the Fall- Winter 20-21 collection at Milan Fashion Week. How quickly has our world changed…I can only hope that Spring 2021 Fashion Week will return to Milan.
Feeling a bit nostalgic for Milan Fashion Week, I find myself looking back at photos of the Spring 2020 Fashion Show. Versace celebrated the 20-year milestone of Jennifer Lopez’s Jungle Print Dress worn at the Grammy 2000 awards. This stunning look was an inspiration for google images as a record number of searches were made online for “Jennifer Lopez Grammy Dress”. At Milan Fashion week Versace honored Lopez by designing an every more gorgeous version than the original. J.Lo looked stunning walking the runway looking as beautiful as even 20 years later.
