French designer children’s clothing label Chipie has a long story strongly inspired by the American campus style and student lifestyle. Founded in 1967 by Jean-Michel Signoles, Chipie, with its dog, its badges, and colors has gradually found its place in the jeans sector.
At only the age of 17 Jean-Michel Signoles began customizing vintage second-hand clothes imported from the US, before opening, 4 years later, his first production factory.
In the early 70s, Chipie developed a strong identity as one of France’s leaders in denim. Chipie was also recognized for brand creativity and was one of the first to feature its labels as more than just a means of identification.
Chipie’s babywear collections are charming and soft. Chipie Kids clothes junior collections have a genuine “kids” imprint with amusing & determinedly trendy collections.
Our tomorrow’s queens but our today’s princesses are dreaming to be a farmer on Monday, ballerina on Tuesday then mermaid on Thursday and explorer on Sunday. So CHIPIE Kids has made its summer 2014 collection a treasure for every day where play with clothes becomes the watchword.
Since I published this article, Chipie has discontinued its girls’ clothing brand. Discover more French kids’ collections including Chloe Enfant and Sonia Rykiel Kids.
