Discover the Corby Tindersticks Bonjour Bruv Spring Summer 2014 Collection…Created by Yorkshire born designer Carly Gledhill, Corby Tindersticks is an illustration-led label for kids focusing on clothing, toys, and posters.
For Spring Summer 2014 Carly has created the ‘Bonjour Bruv’ where the main character Corby takes a trip to a fantasy world inspired by Dada art and pie charts. Having recently met some new friends while holidaying on the French Riviera, Corby was inspired by their cultured ways and snappy fashion sense. When sailing back to England in a coconut shell boat Corby designed a new range taking the color palette from his favorite Chewits sweets – peach and fizzy orange pop, and drew caricatures of his new friends with his best pencil.
The newest trendsetters in Corby’s gang love to show off their crazy silhouetted bodies in chic separates for an unconventional take on Gallic/Anglo style. Graph paper checks and stripes stretch across physiques, while hipster baseball caps perch nonchalantly on top of the perfectly coiffed hair. Showing love and appreciation to London street style, flashy diamond-shaped buttons and high tops for flouncing through the city are part of their uniform.
The new season collection will see these bold characters featured across the British-made range of baby rompers and girls and boys t-shirts. Each summer season Corby designs only one dress and this time he has chosen his giant-headed friend ‘Pomélo’ to be his muse on a peach-colored number. Be sure to check out Corby’s personal favorite piece in the collection – the caterpillar romper.
Color schemes for ‘Bonjour Bruv’ collection include bold orange, peach and grey marl, with citrus bursts of mint and lemon.
The road atlas is brand new for Spring Summer 2014 and will be sold with a character toy (Roger Satsuma) plus a selection of transportation devices such as a hot air balloon, bicycle and triple-decker bus to travel the land by. Willard Wigan, Clint Marseille, and Granville Artichoke are Corby’s new plush gang, and how plush they are! This season organic heap jersey has been used for an even more eco-friendly cuddly character experience, and of course, there’s a generous smattering of bow ties.
