Green Bean Kids organic clothing delivers a luxury line of baby clothing manufactured from high quality sustainable and organic fabrics. They were inspired to create a collection that was made locally in New Zealand and combined beautiful organic and sustainable fabrics with fresh and stylish designs. Green Bean Kids takes great care in researching and selecting the finest quality certified fabrics to ensure that the garments we design are made to last and are easy care, machine washable. All fabrics are either Oeko-Tex 100 certified or 100% organically certified.
Green Bean Kids was created in 2007 by twin sisters Angela Mead and Meredith Barry-Walsh in 2007. Angela and Meredith were inspired to create a baby wear collection that combined beautiful organic and sustainable fabrics with contemporary styling for babies and children up to 3 years.
We wanted to create a collection of baby wear that was super soft, beautifully styled and was good for babies and the environment. At Green Bean, we are always researching new and innovative sustainable fabrics. Currently, we are manufacturing from organic cotton, bamboo, and organic cotton / bamboo blend fabrics.
Green Bean uses organic cotton grown organically without the use of pesticides, fertilizers or GMO’s, and meets Global Organic Textile Standards. Also, they use silky soft rayon from bamboo in the collection. Bamboo is especially soft since fibers are naturally smooth and round with no tiny spurs which in wool and hemp can irritate the skin.
Manufactured exclusively in New Zealand, all Green Bean garments are of the highest quality. By manufacturing in New Zealand the company is able to keep control of high-quality standards, provide great service, and manufacture New Zealand garments that are ethically made and offer great value.
