Jessie and James Kids Clothes from London

Kids fashion designers Jessie and James met when working for Vivienne Westwood at the London Studio. Jessie trained at the University of Art in Berlin under Vivienne Westwood and moved to London to join Vivienne’s creative team and eventually became her Creative Head Pattern Cutter. James was spotted at London Graduate Fashion Week and became a Menswear designer at Vivienne Westwood designing for the mainline Man and the Japanese License collections. After five years of working closely, it was love at first sight…well nearly ; ), and soon their son Billy ‘the Kid’ was born.

“We always had the dream to start our own label and we saw an opportunity at this time to do something new and adventurous with our skills and experience. Learning abstract and clever ways to cut clothes and designing garments in a playful humorous way we decided that the kidswear market was the obvious choice. We started designing a few little garments, which evolved into a whole collection and decided to take the plunge and launch Jessie and James.” – Jessie & James

About the Jessie and James Collection

The Jessie and James children’s collection started when Jessie started to design clothes for her son Billy with the first ‘Tip Toe Trouser’ that was handmade at home. Soon to follow was the ‘T-squared’ and then Jumpsuit. Soon Jessie created a small collection for Boys and Girls that has grown into a larger collection for children from newborn up to 14 years.

The Jessie and James collection is based on unique silhouettes that mix historical shapes with modern pattern cutting principles that are ‘en vogue’ as well as being timeless through their originality.

The brand ethos is to create childrenswear that is luxurious both in comfort and fashion combined. In the Jessie and James collection, only the finest cotton from the U.K., Portugal, and Italy are sourced. They work only with the best well-chosen manufacturers and mills that understand their idea of quality and design.
