About Le Top Designer Paul Lun
It’s hard to believe that Le Top, after so many years selling children’s clothing is boutiques and department stores in the US were originally founded almost by accident.
Back in 1978, Paul Lun, whose family had already been in the apparel business in Hong Kong and Malaysia for over 50 years, was in California studying his master’s degree in finance.
A true entrepreneur at heart, Paul took his brother’s suggestion to start selling some of his family’s novelty T-shirts in the U.S.
The Lun family t-shirts offered a welcomed option to the polyester shirts of the 1970s. The high-quality combed cotton interlock shirts were an immediate success, and today Le Top is still known for their soft, natural fiber fabrics that they design and manufacture.
The next hit Paul created was his initial experimental design – “My First Jeans” that was a big hit.
Paul’s wife, Chis Lun joined her husband basically from the start and Le Top became a successful family business expanding to offer clothes for preemies, newborns, infants, toddlers, and children (up to size 7).
Today, Le Top offers two collections Le Top and Le Top Baby encompassing the entire spectrum of a young child’s wardrobe need as well as select accessories and plush toys.
