Little Remix by designer Charlotte Eskildsen is one of my favorite new finds for “über cool” girls from Copenhagen, Denmark. The Little Remix Spring Summer 2014 collection for girls ages 4-16 is more than ever a “mini-me collection” with a direct link to designer Charlotte Eskildsen’s Remix women’s collection.
This season the Little Remix collection features engineered shapes, drop-shoulders and sportswear contrasts – all ultra-modern and perfect for the young girl on the playground to the fashionista teenager dressing to look cool.
Little Remix Designer Charlotte Eskildsen’s Favorites
As always Charlotte Eskildsen has personal favorites – thin knitwear and light wearable treated cotton pieces. Charlotte pays special attention to using materials that offer freedom of movement. Denim is thin and light, the lamb leather is super soft and the double-layered jersey is almost an evergreen. New fabrics used this season include two-faced foam fabrics, bubble structure wool and granulated surfaces on used wool to give an ultra-worn look.
True to the Little Remix style, shapes and lines are minimalistic and graphics. You’ll find an über cool biker washed leather jacket in black and white with quilted details and a skirt to match with heavy silver sippers. Another cool look is a striped futuristic-looking two-piece suit with t-shirt and shorts in two-faced foam.
A must-have in every mini-me’s closets is the edgy slim-fit moonlegs jeans in jacquard stretch denim with organic line details. Don’t miss the too-cool-for-school baseball jacket in black & white.
Color schemes for the Little Remix Spring Summer collection are creamy pastel, indigo blue, egg-shell colors, earth colors, and bright neon yellow. Apart from the quirky sketched signature print, you’ll also find a captivating print of a crying bird as well as an all graphic cubic print found on a one-piece soft short suit. Camo cool prints are found on both firm knit and a minimalistic soft styled cotton dress.
