The Naartjie story began back in 1989 in Cape Town, South Africa when designer Anne Eales wanted an alternative to the basic brands of her three young boys. The Naartjie brand that Anne created is a successful mix of design elements that make it distinctive, inspirational, and very popular. Most Naartjie clothes are pre-washed and pre-shrunk, made from 100% natural cotton fabrics, always soft and immediately comfortable to wear.
Naartjie clothes are designed in their Cape Town Studio in South Africa, made mostly from natural fabrics that have been garment-dyed, then pre-washed and pre-shrunk for easy care. They also use a garment dying process where the entire garment is dyed after being sewn, giving clothes a soft and complex appeal both visually and to the touch.
I’ve alway been a huge fan of this colorful children’s collection and spent hours shopping for my kids in their stores. I always find a wide selection of original garmet-dyed baby and kids clothes that are comfy, high-quality and at great prices.
