Rachel Riley Wins Best UK Brand & Boutique Award

One of my favorite kids’ fashion designers that I had the opportunity of interviewing this year at ENK Children’s Club is Rachel Riley Kids from the UK. This year Rachel Riley Kids received two awards from Junior Magazine in the Best UK Fashion Brand and Independent Boutique category.

Rachel Riley Kids Junior Award

Rachel Riley’s design philosophy is rooted in her traditional lifestyle and draws inspiration from the forties, fifties, and sixties with fine tailoring. Her beautiful hand smocking, embroidery, and vintage-inspired prints are designed by and exclusive to Rachel Riley.

More about Rachel Riley Kids Clothes

Founded in 1994 Rachel Riley’s first collection, from newborn to 14 years for girls and boys, was launched by way of mail-order catalog. Following the positive response to her collection, she opened her first store in Knightsbridge, London and opened a second boutique in London’s Marylebone High Street. Rachel Riley’s vintage-inspired glamor for children gained popularity has grown worldwide. In 2005 Rachel opened a store on Madison Avenue, New York, and high-end department stores Bergdorf Goodman, Saks Fifth Avenue, Bloomingdales, Harrods and more all carry Rachel Riley’s collection.

Rachel Riley Damask Party DressOne of my favorite items in Rachel Riley’s 2013 collection include The Damask Party Dress dress in gold damask fabric, with a pleated skirt, wide satin ribbon with a bow at the waist.

My other favorite is The Heritage collection that was inspired by the Royal Baby Birth. I actually had the opportunity to interview Rachel Riley about this sold-out collection with me at New York’s ENK Children’s Club in August.

“The highlight of our collection is our Heritage collection which by popular demand we’ve made a classic item so we’re going to do year round. We actually designed it around the excitement for the Royal Baby when we knew that Princess Catherine was pregnant. We have designed three exclusive prints. We’ve got My Little Prince, My Little Princess, and we’ve got The Baby Prince which is also really cute in unisex.”
