At The Playtime New York Trade Show this August I had the pleasure of interviewing Laura Egloff, Founder and Designer of Velveteen Clothing. During our video interview, Laura shared with me her favorite items in the Velveteen Holiday Collection.
“Here are some of my favorites in the Holiday Collection. We’re using a lot of hand embroidery. All of our clothes are made in India and we’re using a lot of really high-quality cotton and silks. All of our special embroidery for our Holiday collection is hand embroidered. We’re also making some of our own fabrics that are all block printed. These are all old, beautiful artisan techniques that we’re modernizing and giving it a really global look to the collection.”
Velveteen Helena Dress
The Helena Dress comes in powder pink silk georgette and whispers blue cot-silk. Both dresses have hand embroidered Holly Twigs and snowflakes with satin ribbon closures at back. Sizes 3Y – 8Y.
Velveteen Isabella Dress
The Isabella Dress is available in both ice blue and whispers pink. This stunning full circle dress has 3 layers of the highest quality silk georgette and includes a trailing satin bow and Swarovski crystal button back closure. Sizes 3Y – 8Y

One of my personal favorites this holiday season is Velveteen’s Franzie Dress.
