Kids Fashion Sweden

Sweden Kids Fashion Sweden’s kids fashion scene is rich with gorgeous mini styles from traditional to contemporary collections for baby, girls and boys. I love Scandinavian design in general and Swedish designers have a wonderful eye for fashion, enabling them to create fresh, modern styles with unique prints, beautiful silhouettes, and vibrant colors.

Shampoodle Interview with Jakob Wästberg

At The Playtime Paris trade show, I had the pleasure of interviewing Jakob on Shampoodle’s brand ethos and what Shampoodle has in store for the upcoming season. The Shampoodle story began back in 2006 as a hobby for the witty and creative Stockholm-based couple Jakob Wästberg and Helene Stevenberg. Building on Jakob’s experience as a photographer, advertiser & developer, and Helene’s experience as an art director & graphic designer, Shampoodle offers fun and comfortable Scandinavian kids collections with a tagline “childishly comfortable clothes”.

“The Naïve Collection is dedicated to our house god Henri Rousseau, who’s green jungles we dived into for color guidance and inspiration. We found a paradise lost, a romantic spirit and a childish simplicity, synonymous with our collection. Enjoy:)” – Helene & Jakob, Shampoodle.”

The Tiny Universe Interview with Maria & Johan

One of my favorite baby brands is The Tiny Universe by designers Maria & Johan out of Stockholm. I adore their wonderful baby boy tux and baby girl little black dress. Over the years The Tiny Universe continues to expand its uniquely clever baby clothing collection. At The Playtime Paris I had the opportunity to interview Maria & Johan about how they started The Tiny Universe, what’s special about the brand, and what’s new for Fall / Winter 2014.

“The Tiny Universe began back when We worked at an ad agency, and we were going to attend a friend’s baptism. We couldn’t find a suitable gift for the party, and that’s how the idea for The Tiny Universe was born. We wanted to make iconic kids wear that was still comfortable to wear so they can take a nap and play. – Maria & Johan”
