The 8th edition of Playtime Paris Kids Trade Show took place July 3-5 at the Parc Floral de Paris, where it brought together 250 international brands linked to the children’s, junior and maternity universes, with an offer that spanned clothing, shoes, jewelry, layette, and décor.

With 3834 visitors, Playtime has seen a strong increase in attendance since July 2009 as well as a 4,57% increase in the number of international visitors. There were many new things to see in the children’s collections and the visitors were won over by the wide range of styles displayed.

Mérésine – France

Born from the imagination of Sandrine Ziegler, Mérésine® was created 13 years ago. Its name is taken from fairy tales and is a reminder of the material which has composed of her first creations.

Madreperla – The Netherlands

Madreperla’s Spring/Summer 2011 Collection – Wonderland of Opportunities is inspired by mid 20th century’s land of opportunities. A stylish make-believe world expressed in graphic designs and fun prints combined with sweet and soft colors like mint green, yellow, light blue, pink and red.

HOPSAN – The Netherlands

HOPSAN‘s Spring/Summer 2011 Collection – “The Best Gift Wrapped in a Cozy Cottage” introduces a blanket and hat combination packed in a 3D cardboard cozy cottage. The pattern used for the blanket and hat is a special jacquard knitted HOPSAN STAR design. The STAR pattern can be found throughout the whole collection in all-over water-based prints or as a detail in back yokes, pockets, and labels.

Zolima – Hong Kong

A young poetic retro-chic brand for savvy children from 0 to 12 years, Zolima takes one back in time on an exhilarating journey to the intriguing and magical Far East of the 1930’s.

Little ANH-EM – France

Little ANH-EM is all about family spirit and sharing. Meaning “Brother and Sister” in Vietnamese, the collection reflects the philosophy behind the creator of this young brand, Magalie Nguyen-Kim.

Kidscase – The Netherlands

The Kidscase Spring/Summer 2011 collection is complete with tops, bottoms, dresses, jackets, jeans, swimwear and accessories for babies (0-18M) and children (2-11Y) made in a variety of colors and fabric qualities.

ilovegorgeous – UK

ilovegorgeous‘s spring/summer 2011 collection is inspired by the moody skies and colors of an English summer that incorporates dusty plums, soft grey and sage greens alongside delicate vintage-inspired English rose floral prints. Soft, pretty and understated.

ANTIK BATIK – France

An emblem of the French “Bourgeois- Boheme” lifestyle, ANTIK BATIK is designed by Gabriella Cortese, an Italian by birth and Parisian by adoption. Since 2001, Gabriella granted the wish of little girls to dress like their mothers, with an ANTIK BATIK children’s range. Travel is Gabriella’s long-term passion and the crafts discovered inspired her to create ready-to-wear clothing.

yporqué – Spain

Designed in Barcelona and produced in Portugal, yporqué was initially created in 2007 not just as new product line but as a whole new concept: t-shirts which mentally stimulate children through the imaginative use of sounds, textures, fluorescent images, games, etc. Over time, yporqué has moved on from being an up-market gift item to convert itself into a fully-fledged fashion label.

Week End à la Mer – France

Founded in 1998, Week End à la Mer from France designs children’s clothing from 0 to 8 years that are inspired by a nautical spirit. For Spring/Summer 2011, the Week End à la Mer collection emphasizes fashion along with the traditional nautical spirit.

Kite Kids – UK

In Sarabanda’s new collection, which draws inspiration from different themes, little girls and little boys play the main characters in present and retro settings. The Kite Kids theme of CINEMA features the little boy who plays the film-maker and chooses British-taste clothes: jackets, cardigans and checkered fabrics; the little girl plays the role of the leading actress who wears stylish garments, plenty of stripes and a touch of bright blue. Red and white are the leading colors, besides blue.

TroiZenfantS – France

TroiZenfantS creates elegant and up to date clothing at affordable prices, to propose a modern and chic style, a mix of classic blended with a zip of fantasy The TroiZenfantS story started in 2004 when fashion designer ValérieHerbert meets ex-top model Virginiede Gemini, who had recently moved into the fashion business. At the time, mother of 3 children altogether (hence the brand’s name) find it difficult to buy original, affordable and easy to wear clothes for their children. Deciding to capitalize on that market opportunity, they created TroiZenfantS

Moonkids – Sweden

moonkids is a Swedish fashion company dressing kids 0-12 years old. The typical moonkids garment is designed with inspiration from all over the world, but always with a touch of Scandinavia.
