Get a Taste of Japanese Kids Fashion @ Playtime Tokyo February 2013

Wondering what’s the latest trending in Japanese kids fashion? The place to get a taste of Japanese children’s style was at The Playtime Tokyo February 2013 Trade Show. From February 19-21, 2013 at the Belle Salle Shibuya Garden 224 Japanese and international brands came together to show off their latest Fall-Winter 2013/2014 collections.

While the weather was far from sunny in Tokyo, over 2,190 specialists from the children’s and maternity sectors attended Playtime Tokyo February 2013, a 32% increase over the February 2012 trade show. With its creative and qualitative offer, Playtime Tokyo exhibitors are both known brands and young designers. Playtime Tokyo exhibitors grew 49% over the previous show in August 2012, especially in the number of foreign brands, who came mostly from Australia, France, and Italy, making 60% of total exhibitors.

With this latest edition, Playtime Tokyo confirms its position as the can’t miss trade show for the children’s universe in Asia and continues to surprise and seduce the sector’s professionals thanks to its solid and shrewd selection.

Playtime Tokyo Colorful and Graphic Universe

At Playtime Tokyo visitors were welcomed at the entrance by the highly colorful and graphic universe of artist Yuko Kanatani.

Then visitors encountered photo-portraits of themselves coiffed with interstellar hairstyles, created by Bowerbird for Kid’s Wear magazine.

Artists Masayuhi Yoshida, Ai Yamada, and the Fuwari collective presented their ethereal,
sonic and poetic installations in the show’s three trend spaces.
