Inspired by Saint-Tropez: Mon Marcel Summer 2013 Collection…What do Mon Marcel children’s clothes from Barcelona and Brigitte Bardot have in common? They both have a special connection with Saint-Tropez, the air of the Mediterranean and the scents of the French Provence.
In 1956 Brigitte Bardot starred in “And God Created Woman” putting Saint Tropez on the map as a favorite celebrity destination in the French Riviera. Saint-Tropez is now the inspiration for Mon Marcel’s Spring Summer 2013 Collection, created by designer Yolanda Leon, a mother of two and established knitwear designer for fifteen years.
Our Spring-Summer 2013 collection was inspired by a trip to Saint-Tropez where the sunset makes us discover wonderful scenarios such as a field of poppies reflecting coral tones continuing to the sea where we found beautiful turquoise and ocean colors contrasting with the landscape in warm tones like peach and old pink, explains Yolanda Leon.
The garments in the Mon Marcel collection evoke the freshness of a warm day, using natural fibers with qualities like 100% Egyptian cotton, voile fabric in a renovated classic style, giving a feeling of comfort and joy.
Mon Marcel adapts to new trends and colorful fashions in each collection keeping simplicity and attention to detail in mind, without forgetting that the smallest of the house must feel comfortable and at home, shares Yolanda Leon.
