Junior Gaultier Girls Mini-Me Fall Winter 2013 is on trend with gorgeous tartan patterns taken right off the Jean-Paul Gaultier women’s runway collection.
Famous for being the fashion world’s bad boy, Jean-Paul Gaultier began his successful career in 1976 when he launched his first ready-to-wear collection. His Junior Gaultier Girls Mini-Me collection was launched in 2009, bringing unique, fashion-forward design and style for kids. For Fall Winter 2013 Junior Gaultier continues to charm with mini-me outfits inspired by runway collections.
Tartan Galore – Flashback Gaultier FW07 Women’s Collection
I absolutely love the Tartan look for Fall Winter. Gaultier’s classic use of Scottish Tartans turns up with a twist on several pieces creating a chic version of schoolhouse rock. You’ll find quilted dresses, pleated skirts, zippered jackets, berets, scarfs and even tartan high-tops.
I did a bit of research on Gaultier’s traditional use of tartan in the past and discovered the Scottish Tartan inspired Women’s Ready-to-Wear 2007 runway show in Paris. Back then, model Coco Rocha went all out performing a high-stepping Celtic dance decked out in the true Scottish style, wearing a red jacket and tartan kilt with a plume of feathers in her hair.
Junior Gaultier Goes Graffiti Style – Flashback Women’s FW12 Collection
For Fall Winter 2012 Gaultier Women’s Runway Show featured graffiti and urban street style with giant spray-paint bubble letters decorated many of the pieces. The Junior Gaultier FW13 collection brings back the casual and relaxed pure street style with this graffiti-styled dress, shirts, and leggings.
“Jean Paul Gaultier introduces us to another side of Paris where concrete is the perfect canvas for street art. This urban landscape is a perpetual source of inspiration for the designer who scatters this Junior collection with rock-n-roll images, working in tinted photos, graffiti, and tags.”
Black is Back: Gaultier Women’s and Girl’s Tulle Dress and Leather Jacket
Black and leather are trending for Fall Winter 2013 and the Junior Gaultier collection brings in both trends by mixing sophisticated items with dynamic, contemporary pieces. Young fashionistas can dream of a night out in Paris playing the modern princess in this black tulle dress. Match it with a black leather biker jacket to get a genuine contemporary and architectural mini-me look.
