One of my favorite mini-me collections out of the UK is Stella McCartney Kids. Recently I learned more about Stella when I watched her interview on CNN Talk Asia that aired back in June when she opened her flagship store in Beijing. If you haven’t watched the video I recommend watching it online at CNN.com.
After being the Creative Director of Paris fashion house Chloé, Stella launched her women’s collection back in 2001 which has become a huge global success. Today a mother-of-four, Stella began her journey in kids fashion in 2009 with a capsule collection at GAP kids. This inspired her to create Stella McCartney Kids in November 2010 for newborns up to age 12. The collection features playful styles and vibrant color palettes perfectly capture the essence of the fashion-forward youth of today.

Stella McCartney Kids Blue Flower Print – Flashback Women’s SS12 Collection
For Fall Winter 2013 Stella took design inspiration for her girls’ collection from her amazing blueprints featured on the women’s runway for her Spring Summer Ready to Wear 2012 collection. A number of items in the collection including the Snowflake Dress and Alexa all-in-one outfit feature the marquis diamond print inspired by the women’s collection.
Stella McCartney Kids Pale Pink Colors – Girl’s and Women’s Resort 14 Collection
You’ll also find beautiful pretty-in-pink dresses in the girls and women’s resort collection. Take for example the Primrose Jewel Applique Dress for girls that is a mini-me of the women’s long-sleeved pale-pink mini dress with embroidered hearts, lips, and matchsticks and floral crystal details. Celebrity Kerry Washington, actress on the TV Show Scandal wore this dress at the 2013 Teen Choice Award.
The Misty Dress above is one of my favorite tulle party dresses from the collection, featuring tonal bow appliqué detail, scalloped neckline and comes in pale pink, red and navy.
